Monk Vows

Monk vows cannot be broken, even while under the influence of charm effects, possession etc. Monks have trained their bodies to react to certain things by instinct, making things like being unconscious irrelevant.

Vow of Silence

Restriction - You cannot speak. You have trained your body to such an extent that it does not even remember how to make sound, even when you are in pain. Certain actions that require communication may become difficult, such as persuading people, without creative ways to circumvent these restrictions.

Benefit - You get linguistics as a bonus skill and sign language as a bonus language.

Vow of Fasting

Restriction - You refuse to ingest anything. Even if you were to eat or drink something, your body would reject it, causing you to vomit. This means you are unable to consume helpful potions, such as a jizzle physic.

Benefit - You do not need to eat or drink. You only need peaceful meditation for 1 minute for nourishment. After such meditation, you heal to your max hp and gain 10 temp hp that persists until lost.

Vow of Detachment

Restriction - You refuse to get close to others. Literally. The touch of other intelligent creatures makes you reflexively recoil. You cannot initiate anything that requires prolonged contact, such as a grapple, a handshake or a hug. If such a creature tries to initiate prolonged contact, they must poise break you.

Benefit - At the start of your turn, you automatically escape a creatures unwanted touch.

Vow of Celibacy

Restriction - You cannot return romantic feelings. You have completely shut of the part of you that feels romantic attachment to the point where even pretending feels unnatural and uncomfortable. You cannot perform acts of physical intimacy such as intercourse, kissing or other culturally significant acts typically reserved for lovers. You can't even pretend, giving you a -10 penalty on any skill checks related to any romance-related tasks.

Benefit - You get a +2 bonus on saves against charm effects. Any effects dependent on your sexual preferences have no effect on you whatsoever (such as unnatural lust).
