Whenever a creature uses a supernatural ability (Su) or spell on one of its allies within the aura, you can decide to become the target of the effect as an immediate action. For AoE effects (like channel energy), you can only steal the effect from one target.

Unless you identify it with monster lore or arcana, you're gambling. Any effect that requires a saving throw that you steal (like a Blight) you automatically fail.
