🧠Intelligence

Intelligence Basics

The quantity of things you know and your proficiency in the mechanics of magic characterize intelligence.

  • You gain an additional skill proficiency per point of intelligence

  • You gain two additional languages per point of intelligence

  • Gain a point in your mana reserves per each point of intelligence

  • Get an additional point of memory per point of intelligence

  • You lose a skill proficiency per negative point of intelligence

  • Lose a memory slot per point of negative intelligence

Sentience

A creature is considered sentient if it has at least -2 intelligence. These creatures typically do not speak, but can understand at least 1 language. Most magical beasts fall in this category.

Animal intelligence is -3 intelligence. Creatures with animal intelligence only understand simple commands (if anything). They are usually limited to their instinctual urges.

Mindless creatures possess no will of their own. They act completely on instinct.
