Win Condition
The first thing you must determine in a chase is who is chasing and who is running. This will establish what strategies are available. Chases happen in rounds, with each round of a chase usually representing around 3 rounds of normal combat or ~20 seconds. At the start of each round, one side decides on a strategy for that particular round, determined first by who has advantage, then alternating each round. Strategies often require skill rolls, saving throws etc. Whoever is more effective that round earns a W.
In order to win a chase (either escaping or capturing), you need to earn 3 W's. When you win as a chaser, it is assumed you manage to corner, bind and otherwise secure the escapees. When you win as the runner, it is assumed you evade your captors in a significant enough way that they are unable to find you without you pulling some dumb shit to get you caught again.
